The Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) ensures that incoming Soldiers are assigned sponsors prior to reporting to their new installation. Obtaining a sponsor reduces the stress of reporting to a new unit, enhancing resilience and improving readiness among Soldiers and their Family Members. Effective sponsorship helps ensure a smooth move by giving relocating Soldiers and Families a designated, personal point of contact on the ground at the new duty station.
